The UK, in general, is very supportive of their art culture. They focus on promoting artists not only from the past but the present as well.
Art Walks
One of the favourite ways to be able to extend ones passion for art is to go on one of the many art walks that is always available throughout the UK. These walks will sometimes focus on a specific area of art, while others are comprised of a mix of artworks. They are usually a few miles in duration although they do vary considerably. This means anyone will often be able to find an art walk that is appropriate for them.
Art Week
Another major event that takes place that many look forward to is art week. The week that this takes place is usually coordinated throughout many of the districts in the UK. This is one of the aspects that make this exciting. Each area can plan their specific venue. Different organizations are responsible for organizing these. Some examples are:
- Children’s Art Week
These are geared around national awareness day events. Throughout the country-specific events are organized with the priority being placed on the young people. Some of the events may take place online, which others may be in the home or school setting. These events can span across several weeks.
- Digital Presentations
A new event that is taking place is with London Art Week. This is taking on a digital form where a large collection of arts that are found in various galleries will be put on display on the website. There will be scheduled events, and different viewing rooms have been developed. So there will be something new being put on display during a period of time. This makes it quite an exciting concept because art lovers have something to look forward to each time a new viewing room is scheduled.
